Resonators of high selectivity with variable resonance frequency

The Nanoworld laboratory offers microwave resonators with variable resonance frequency, high selectivity and 0.8·1010 quality factor.

A few possible applications of the microwave resonators:

  1. Telecommunications (109...1011 Hz)
  2. Time, frequency standards (precision – 10-10)
  3. Spectral measurements (precision – 10-10)

Microwave resonators made of dielectric material. The resonators have the low cost price ($25).

Parameters:

  1. Frequency range: 109...1011 Ãö
  2. Quality factor: 103...0.8·1010
  3. Selectivity: 40 dB relatively parasite resonances
  4. Tuning on frequency: 1/3 octave

The thread can be threaded not only on an single-piece sphere, but also on multilayer one, permitting to overhaul the frequency.
